Hi, I’m Olivia, an Animal Care Assistant here at Snowy Vets. This role will be the first step in my career working with animals and I’m really looking forwards to getting started. I hope to train as a Veterinary Nurse in the near future, so gaining hands on experience and building my confidence in a practice environment is something I’m very passionate about.

I’ve always loved animals of all shapes and sizes and I have a particular soft spot for reptiles. I really enjoy caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after.

Before starting this role, I completed work experience across a number of veterinary practices, which helped me build confidence in a clinical environment and confirmed that this is the career path I want to follow. I’ve also taken part in the summer school at the Royal Veterinary College where I gained valuable insight into both veterinary and nursing roles and further developed my understanding of animal care and welfare.

Outside of work, I love going to concerts, spending time with friends and travelling to new cities whenever I get the chance.
