Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I’m Jodie, the Head Veterinary Nurse here at Snowy Vets. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Canterbury College in 2015, staying on at the practice that trained me for a fantastic ten years. During that time, I gained experience with both small animals and exotics. It was there that I first had the pleasure of working alongside Snowy Vets’ owner and Head Vet Chris.

With over 11 years of experience, I bring a strong clinical background and a genuine passion for patient care. I hold a Veterinary Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care (achieved in 2018) and I particularly enjoy the fast-paced, problem-solving side of ECC and anaesthesia, where calm decision-making and attention to detail make all the difference.

My ethos is simple: to treat every patient as if they were my own pet, delivering the highest standard of care and comfort – whether that means hand-feeding a nervous patient or sharing a reassuring cuddle.

Earlier in my career, I also spent time working with horses, an experience that deepened my appreciation for animal behaviour and helped shape my confident, adaptable approach in small-animal practice.

Outside of work, life revolves around my wonderfully chaotic Patterdale Terrier, who never fails to keep me on my toes. I love spending time with family and friends, exploring new countries, embracing different cultures, and keeping active through my love of fitness and weight training.
